Sensory Pregnancy Yoga

Pregnancy is one of the most exciting and magical experiences a woman can have in her lifetime. This is where the miracle of life begins.

All of our pregnancy Yoga classes take place under our unique sensory mood lighting ceiling. We keep the number of Yogi’s low to allow more time for individual connection and for you as the mother to not feel over crowded or uncomfortable.

By practicing yoga, this can remind women of their connection to nature, and the power it has to nourish and heal. Breathing lies at the heart of the yoga practice, helping a mother to connect to herself and her baby.

We suggest attending pregnancy yoga no earlier than 14 weeks pregnant, after your first scan.

What are the Benefits of Pregnancy Yoga:

  • General relaxation and stress relief

  • Encourages the emotional connection and bond between mother and baby

  • The release of tension that develops from the changing weight and centre of gravity as the baby grows

  • Helps the body to adapt to the changes in posture

  • Helps the baby move into the optimal position for labour and birth

  • Gently increases circulation by adapting positions

  • Allows breath to come more easily due to releasing tightness which may occur around the ribcage and shoulders

  • Inspires confidence and inner strength to prepare for birth
